Tony - Just a quick note to let you know my latest shipment arrived here safely today. Let your staff know that I appreciate their great service. This was a small purchase but the service was every bit as good as some of the larger purchases I have made in the past. Thanks for being there for all of us.

I have just returned to the UK. Thank you for the delivery to Alldrive Canada for the ordered NCE controller. It was there when we arrived in Calgary as promised by you. Thank you onec again for a prompt and reliable service.

Thanks for the quick and courteous service. Everything looks correct, please go ahead and fill the order. Please ship priority mail and would you please send me an email when you ship.

Received the modified decoder Saturday - thanks. (It never occurred to me to add another resisor in parallel, resulting in 90 ohms.) Nice going. Your service is much appreciated. I will call on you again for future needs.
Thanks again,
- Chuck G.
Message for Lewis: I installed the TSU-759 that I purchased from you in Milwaukee. I want to thank Lewis for his instructions to guide me in the installation. His directions were a great help to me in performing the installation and in avoiding costly mistakes. THANK YOU LEWIS FOR YOUR GUIDANCE!
- Dewey J.
Attention: Josh
Installed the QSI update chips in the BLI M1a, SW7 and the Proto RS-27, and the result in all is simply amazing! From slow speed control, etc., the performance in each is astounding - I should have ordered them a long time ago. Starting to install the Rev U/W in the GP-9, and will send photos when done (if it's ok with you). I appreciate your prompt service on my order, and I am impressed with the quality and workmanship of the products. Really first class.
Thanks again,
Chuck G.
I just received two locos that you installed with sound. The sound is outstanding! Thanks for your excellent work and prompt service. It is most appreciated. I can certainly recommend you to all my friends.

Thanks, Tony for the quick response. Your store and site are the greatest!

TO: NORM – Tech service
Thanks for assisting me with getting my PSX-AR to work right with my Digitrax Zephyr. As you suggested to me just the other day, I soldered a piece of wire on connector J-6 to pins #1 and 2. That did the trick and the locomotives now move across the turnouts in the loop with no issue. It’s taken me 3 years to get this right after countless suggestions from other hobby dealers, etc. I even tried the Digitrax AR-1, but it did not handle the load from sound decoders. No one could find a good solution until now. Thanks again.
Best Regards,
- John P.
USPS is fine. Thank you so much. Great customer service. I will be dealing with you guys in the future and will highly recommend your company to others. Cheers.
- John
OK forget all the previous "senior moment" messages. I found the RRAmpmeter stuck away where it shouldn't be. Again, many thanks for your outstanding customer service. As a former customer service manager, I know how aggravating these kind of inquiries can be.
- Jim
New UTD4 Duplex throttle and UR92 panel arrived and installed! WOW! What a difference. No dead spots in room and the new features are fabulous. Thanks.
- Bill M.
Hi Tony, Guys, My RRampmeter and Trainspeed arrived today 5/26/2010, in good order with no parts missing.Thanking you for the quick service, Regards,
- Hutch
Thank you for your quick reply. You have good prices and quick shipping, I will be ordering from you again. Thanks.

Hi Tony,
I just sent by USPS the speakers and the contact e-mail. Thank you very much. I installed the HB speakers in my 4-8-4 and they sound great. You have a great web site and I check it most every day. There is a lot of interesting items about good and bad points of the different models. I have on order the Precision Craft GN 4-8-4and if it ever goes into production, I hope there are no problems with it. Again, Thank you very much.
-Melvin K.

Thanks very much for finding where the missing part went. I would never have figured it out. And please thank Josh for reprogramming. The engine has the most realistic start up of any model locomotives I've ever seen. No, I don;t plan any adjustments to the program. Best wishes, and thanks again to both of you.
- Rush
I would like to thank you for your quick response to my request for a replacement speaker. The old one had an open coil and the new one is currently playing great sounds. Thank you for your help.
Gerald B.
Tony, Thanks for your great service. The replacement PSX has arrived, now has a Sonalert and is installed on the Timber River and functioning perfectly. The noisey PSX was sent back to Larry. I did take the Sonalert off for use on the replacement. Thanks again for your great service,

Tony,
Based on the information I've received from Norm, I would like to keep my order for an SDN144PS on your books. Please ship it and a sound enclosure when your stock is resupplied. Thanks for the excellent service. This is the kind of information I should have been able to receive from Digitrax customer support.
Steve
Thanks for the info on shipping rates, I will go with the USPS option Priority Insured semi trackable @ $ @@.@@, just a matter of interest it is a pity we have to shop half way around the world to get the service you give, keep up the good work.
Thanks Brian
Got the Loco yesterday and ran it last night ... wow what a difference!!!!!!!!!!! I MUed it to the other one, adjusted their speeds and now together they are ready to pull my 88 car grain train out of Chicago. Thank you so much....... your service and knowledge is what keeps me coming back to you.
- Bob G.
Hi Tony, Thanks again for all the help and for supporting S scale - the CMX car especially. I can't emphasize enough my appreciation for the extra effort you made to provide information on your website. I still find new pages occasionally when I visit. And I know there is still a wealth of info for the next stage - setting up the equipment. Like you said - I will be busy.
- Mountainman
Thanks for e-mail. Your company's communication is absolutely outstanding. Your service is also great. A couple of days ago I ordered a new Digitrax DT-402 throttle. It arrived in only a few days. Thanks again for the great service.
- Richard H.
My order arrived today. Very nice job, thanx for the good work.
- Brad T.
First of all thank- you Norm. I recieved my new DT402 and all is fine with that. I love the IR function as it has increased my ability to wander around my train room while in session and the cord doesn't destroy my landscaping. Second, I would like to take the time to thank you guys (and girls) for ALL of your assistance. From the very beginning Tony's Trains has been nothing less than awesome. My trains are what they are today because the change from analog to DCC was painless with your support and expertise. Again, you folks are awesome, Tony, Norm, and all the staff. I look forward to contacting you in the future with ALL my modeling needs.
- Randall P.
I purchased through Tony's Train Exchange 2 units [Athearn Turbines] and the recommended speakers for these massive units. On running them on a friends layout, the comment was "Bloody Hell that's good". I agree totally!

Thanks to the person who made the arrangements to mail my QSI Magnum decoder to Montréal. Be assured I will visit your store in the future since I have about a dozen O Scale 2 rail locos to convert to DCC.
- Pierre C.
Engine arrived today, safe & sound. Looks great, runs good, smokes nice & sounds pretty good too! I wasn't expecting the working marker lights on the tender. Thanks for the fast delivery;
Larry M., Mississippi
Today I spoke with you at the Big E. I was grateful for your information. I want to get DCC, but I got such a different spin from each of the manufacturers. Your non biased opinions were appreciated. As I save up, I hope to do business with you in the future. Your knowledge set me straight on several areas. This is why you won my business.
Brian B.
Our club in SW Florida installed 13 PM42's in 2004. Over the years we have seen half fail. Some due to electronics and others were relay contact problems. Our layout is large and relays over time will fail due to load and arching of contacts during short circuits.Today we are half way through converting to PSX and PSX-AR units. All the installed PSX and PSX-AR's are functioning great. We have added Sonalerts and Remote Status LEDs indicators. We especially enjoy being able to run 4-5 QSI engines on one power district. This was not possible before. They would not restart on the PM42 after a short.I've been an electrical engineer and involved in electronics for 50 years. The Command Stations/Boosters and circuit breakers/RL controllers are the base of the DCC infrastructure. Over time infrastructures must be upgraded or expanded. This is what I see in converting from the PM42 to the PSX and PSX-AR modules. The new modules are solid state and are designed for the higher current demands of today's DCC engines. Happy customer,
Lee D.
I have received the decoders AOK. Thanks for a great service, it was a pleasure doing business, I will be buying again in the near future.
Kind regards.
Tony C.
Now that is what I call service above and beyond the normal. I received the CMX part N/C and I really want to thank you for your time and effort. You have my business on the next go around. Keep up the excellent work.
Dennis H.
Thank you for sending the loco. It's a very nice runner and I appreciate your excellent decoder installation. I wanted your firm to know that I appreciate your excellent customer service.

Hi Tony, Glad to see you are still doing well in these difficult times.

Just wanted to say thanks for all your help through our little problem. Glad to see customer service alive. Hey Guys, Just needed to post this. I just converted over to DCC and had no clue what I was doing, really! Between All you guys here at “the gauge” and the help from Tony's it became a no brainer. Norm: one the DCC gurus at Tony's has to have the patience of a saint to put up with some of the questions I have asked and walk me through the setup of my NCE, Procab and decoder installs. Susan: Not sure but she seems to have her finger on the pulse of the whole place. About 2 weeks ago there was a mistake on my order and billing (was over billed). Not only did she take the time to correct the problem but she called me (not emailed) to make sure everything was ok and to give me all the credit numbers. She also offered to call my bank. Tell Norm I said thanks for all the help with my new system. I posted a review at the gauge.com.
Anthony R.
Thanks for your swift response to my query and the forward to MRC. I really appreciate the service as an on-line customer!

A week or two ago my Genesis F-45 arrived, and it works great. I had been waiting for this since July 07, so I am a happy camper. I want to thank you for your patience with my status calls, and I really appreciated the email when the package was on its way--I was able to track it and have my family watch for the package.I also want to thank you for the information on your website. I will certainly be a customer again!

Josh,

"G Day" As the records will show I have been doing business with Tony's Train Exchange for the past 4 years either thru Gerry or myself.

I have purchased a range of products to enhance my developing layout and at all times the transactions have been courteously and professionally handled.

Over the last 12 months I have sought your advice on Power/Sound Decoders and my recent purchase for 2 x steam decoders has added another dimension.

The UP - FEF3 has just returned from being fitted out by Gerry Hopkins and sounds exactly like UP 844 - I and my fellow colleagues are more than impressed.

Last week I sought your help with protection for my power systems and again your advice and info looks like providing a very welcome insurance to a costly asset - I look forward to receiving the consignment.

Josh - I have written to you on the basis that too often we hear complaints etc with a service provider but not too many words of "Well done".

A special mention to Sue as she is a great "Back Stop" when I telephone and also her attention to detail with the paperwork.

To you and all at Tony's Train Exchange - thank you.
Colin E.

Tony, I wanted to say thank you so much for steering me down the right track regarding the best track cleaning car on the market. The two young ladies at the Hartford Train show were very helpful and took the time to discuss the CMX Clean Machine with me. I read the pamphlet as I walked around the show but did not really believe the hype (as I thought it was). I visited some other booths and almost purchased another product. I came back to your section and asked if I could play with the CMX for a few minutes. I was impressed with the quality and feel of the product as it was truly brass. I purchased the item based on this and the wonderful service from your staff. Thank you so much as the product far exceeds even the article you have as well as my expectations. Your staff should be commneded on their no hassle attitude. They made a great sale and a return customer. Great product and service. What a change.
- T from CT.
Hello tony's train xchange,
My name is Andreas W. from germany - I would like to say (write) "Thank you" for the perfect shipment (fast and low priced) and the well functioning PSX-4. That was not my last buying at your shop. And I will recommend your shop to my model railroad friends. I am a very sadiesfied customer. Thank you again!
Regards
Andy

I called and spoke with Lou (I think that was his name) prior to placing my first order, as this is my first foray into DCC. He was very patient and helpful and answered all of my questions. I will be placing further orders for decoders and accessories as I figure out what I need.
Thank you.

A few days ago I received the QSI Universal Revolution sound decoder and a pair of speakers and enclosures that I had ordered several weeks ago. Last night I installed this stuff in my 10-year old Atlas O Scale SW-9 switcher. Wow!! It was so easy, and the sound is so great! And, while the engine was already a great runner on DC power, it is so much better under DCC control. This decoder is truly a great product.
Thank you,
Dan P.

I really like the Quantums. Below is a link to a trio of Aristocraft Dash 9s with Quantum Aristos installed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvah0oJTaJA
I love how one can dial in the speed settings so precisely.
Thank you,
John

I just wanted to say 'thank you' for the excellent service you have provided me. Timely responses, more than friendly service, and immediate availability make your business one of the best DCC shops around, if not simply the best. My support and future product requirements will continue to be sent your way.
Thanks again.

Hello,
My Name is [withheld] and I wanted to let your company know how grateful I am for the excellent service I received with the purchase of my new NCE Power Pro-R starter set and other items in my order. Your sales staff are very courteous and willing to take the time to listen to all of my questions. With your staffs great knowledge of DCC and the different systems I was abel to make better decisions on my planed purchase. Your staff went out of there way on a back ordered item and did not even charge me the shipping when it came in. I am very pleased with my Power Pro-R system and ready for years of enjoyment. I will highly recommend your company to all of my friends and acquaintances. I look forward to doing business with you again in the future.
Thank You.
John W.
Tony,
You are the best, I did not think to add the speakers or enclosures. Thank you so much! Your order is fine as is. I did receive the other decoders yesterday as well. I look forward to dealing with you for all my DCC needs.
Jim
I am glad to do business and I thank you for all your help with youre advice & all you have done.

Speakers arrived OK. I installed a 1.06" one in an old FP-7 from Athearn, replacing a rectangular spkr. I made a new airtight enclosure of .03" plastruct (the gray stuff). Bought a big step drill to make the 1" hole quickly. I had comments from other members of the train club that it's the best diesel sound they have yet heard. The decoder is a Tsunami. It's too loud but that can be tweaked. The sound is better. You can now hear some engine noises that were not there before. Even tho the speaker is some thicker than the original, by cutting the 1" hole in the mounting panel, the back of the magnet clears the inside of the enclosure built to the same dimensions as the rectangular spkr. Thanks for the quick service and good pricing.
Yours Bob T.
I ordered a QSI upgrade chip for my BLI SW-7 and your employee was very cordial and helpful in insuring that I received the correct chip. It arrived today and, with the help of the instruction sheet you enclosed is installed, the CVs "tweaked," and ready to go. Thank you for excellent service! By the way, the extractor was a good investment.

Thank you for your excellent disposition. Today I've got your new invoice with the credit for discount not given. I felt "new era of responsibility" of USA. I'll be a TTE's repeater.

Tony, will try it. Thanks so much for your help. As always, your support is the stuff of legends!

Dear Tony and staff,
Thank you for handling the mix-up of my order and making it all work out so well. Not only did you expedite it to arrive on time for my husband's birthday, he'll receive a better product at only a little more cost. Your expertise and attention to customer satisfaction is truly appreciated. I'm certain Tom will be a devoted customer of Tony's Trains for all his future model railroad needs. (In fact, when he requested this gift, he said don't order from any other company than Tony's, even if there's a lower price - he's already confident in the expertise and service at Tony's Trains!)
Thanks again,
Valerie M.
Hi Folks! Please tell Lou back in installation that I got my Tsunami decoder running in my Bowser M1a Mountain! My first installation!!! Yes indeed! Thank You Lou and thank you to all the folks at Tony's!

Thank you very much for the data that I had requested. The level of service that you provide is immeasureable! Again, thank you.

I did have a conversation with someone at Tony's Trains in Vermont. He was very patient and knowledgeable. I also liked the fact their 1-800 number worked from Canada. Frankly, I'd like to buy from someone I can rely on to call if I run into difficulty.
-from online forum
I purchased my NCE material from Tony's Train Exchange in Vermont. Tony has very knowledgeable technicians on his staff to help you.
-from online forum
I contacted Josh at Tony's Train Xchange (1-800-978-3472) and he has been a tremendous help to me in answering all of my questions about the change-out. Josh will be a big help to you and I know he will have all the answers.
-from online forum
However if your looking for one stop ordering I would recommend Tony's Train Exchange. He has cable and connectors. I purchased a crimping tool from Tony, it's the best I have seen to date. HD had a crimping tool called the "Data Shark", it works but unlike Tony's tool does not strip the outer covering exactly perfect length wise like Tony's.
-from online forum
I would think that you can get anything you need at Tony's Train Exchange via mail order. I'm sure there are several other sources that offer a wide range of DCC systems and services as well. I only mention Tony's because I got good service and pricing from them in the past. No connection other than that of a satisfied customer.
-from online forum
In my case, I called Tony at Tony's Train Exchange, 1-800-978-3472, gave him the length's I needed and for $3+ for each one he made them up and shipped them in no time.

Norm,
Thank you for the phone call about my California Zephyr order. I emailed Intermountain about the cab ahead I have reserved and they say first quarter of 2009 for it to arrive. Every one at your business is GREAT to deal with!!! Again Thank you All!!!!!!!

This message is for Josh and Tony. Thanks for your help. Josh resolved the reverse light problem.I am just getting into model railroading, especially DCC, and LEDs, anode and cathode are all new to me and although I have done much reading, I forgot that the 2 wires have to be connected to the proper 2 output tabs. Switching the wires resolved the problem.
Glen B.
Hi Tony,
I received the decoder on Saturday at the post office. Thank you very much. I did not expect to be compensated for the shipping to you, thank you again. I've dealt with a few manufacturers which I had problems on warranty returns. Dealing with your firm was one of the best experiences I've had.
Thank you again,
Phil
Thanks for the very prompt shipping of the PCM I1sa engines that I had on order. It just confirms my decision to use Tony's for my model RR needs.
Thanks,
Dave W.
Thanks again. I just received my order of two (2) DA-SR chips and a package of LEDs in record time. I can't believe your customer service. Helpful, friendly, technologically savy, and prototypically correct. Simply put, "Awesome". Thank you and I will see you at Trainfest!
Frank
Hi Tony. Just wanted to let you know I received this week my 20th shipment from Tony's Trains in the past six months, (with 21st awaiting delivery next month) and everything has been great. I usually deal with Norm. He, and every other T.T. employee I have talked with, has been efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous. I appreciate the quality of your service, and the fairness of your pricing.
Bob M.

YES, Brother! The whole experience of ordering through Tony's has been great! A professional attitude with the best price anywhere. At Tony's though it's not just the price, it's the comfort of knowing you are dealing with a knowledgable staff who will help you. I recently ordered a Roundhouse 4-4-0 C&NW with sound, and was concerned about its availability. Someone named "Tony" (THE Tony?) assured me it was available and on its way. I have run it through its paces at home and at the club and it is great! So is the Lenz System 90 I ordered from Tony's a while back. Thank you for that, also! Thank you for a great job!
Merrill D.

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for a few of your products I purchased. Let me first say my electrical skills would be at best described as average. Up until today the most complex electrical thing I've ever done was to wire a DPDT toggle switch that actually worked. I was a little intimidated at the thought of installing your products. Because of their capabilities I assumed it would be very complex. I just installed your product called the "Hare" in combination with the "OnGuard" auto reverser. That was so easy I couldn't believe it! I just can't believe I have a 100% hands free reverse loop working in my staging yard. Thanks for coming out with such great products.
Tom M.
Thank you for the exceptional service on my last purchase. Invoice #[].There were no additional charges whatsoever. The addition of your booklet in my first order was greatly appreciated, and the additional wait for the second item was not at all objectionable if I can save some money. I am sure we will continue to foster a good business relationship, and look forward to many more opportunities to do so.
Regards,
Neal J.
Hello, I would like to thank Lou for his prompt processing of my recent order for two DCC Specialties PSX-ARSC Auto Reverser/circuit breaker/decoders. I called on Wednesday afternoon (2/20/08), they arrived on Friday, and I was able to install the electronics and run trains on Saturday. Wonderful! Thank you again for the excellent service!
Doug H.
Hi,
I have upgraded my LL GP9s; BLI E7s, SW7, and GG1. I am absolutely delighted with the results.
Thanks,
Chet F.
Hi Tony,
I installed one of your PSX-AR auto-reverse modules on the feed to my turntable, after having problems getting a Lenz LK100 unit to work. The Lenz unit was very unreliable, resetting and shorting all the time. When I substituted the PSX-AR, it operated faultlessly and invisibly right from the start, with no adjustment required. You don't hear any relay clacking or chattering and in fact you don't even know it is there.
It is a pleasure to use your products, they are well engineered and produced and your support and customer service is excellent.

Hi Tony,
Just a note to thank you for your help with my recent order that you shipped to my Brother while he was staying in Maryland. The plan only just worked as the shipment arrived on the day (Friday) he checked out, but luckily he had to go past the hotel again on his way to the airport, and he picked it up !! Looks like the good old USPS was not it’s usual efficient self if you shipped it on the Monday! Anyway, all was well in the end and I have my bits.
For your reference, we have a forum over here and I have left some feedback on it re Tony’s Trains, see http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=15835.
Thanks again,
Nigel C.

Hello ..... I just wanted to drop a line to say that I really do like the service I get from you guys ......... I recently placed my second order from Tony's and just like my first order Everything went great .......... From the man on the phone to the speedy service .........

Not only will I be sure to order again I will tell all my train friends what great service Tony's provides ................. Thanks again and keep up the good work...............

Tony, et al ... I had the pleasure of dealing with Josh today as I ordered a buttload of decoders and ancillary equipment. I had my usual several open-ended questions, and needed advice as well. Not only was he very confident, forthright, pleasant and amiable, but also very knowledgeable and sharing. When he was unsure of his answer or experience (which apparently is considerable), he said so and excused himself to seek confirmation or second opinion from the other staff you had working on New Years' Eve day.

I have often dealt directly with Tony, and on occasion some of the other staff. You ALL are very friendly. As Tony has his name on the line, he is always friendly, patient and polite. HOWEVER, to have staff who back that up....particularly when they are/can be as close to anonymous as they wish and have less to risk/gain in customer relations....is a rare pleasure these days, especially when the local shops are dying out and we now conduct business from remote locales on a growing basis.

I am usually hesitant, cautious and unenthusiastic when contacting or ordering anything thru what I call "Internet Whorehouses".... those who conduct most of their business over the ether rather than a face-to-face or within brick and mortar....but I am genuinely impressed and pleased enough to throw perfectly good money at your outfit any every opportunity.  It is TRULY a pleasure. I commend Josh for a refreshing exchange and as an outstanding example to put forth to your customers.

Have a GREAT New Year!

I can't say how pleased I am with the service and products. I did not have any problems with set up or operation of the Zephyr system or Loco buffer. The folks I got to talk to at Trainfest in Milwaukee helped to make up my mind about what I needed to consider in order to get the most bang for the buck.
Merry Christmas and have a successful New Year.

I have purchased and use one of your 3-rail O gauge CMX-O clean machines. It is great and I recommend it to everybody. My railroad layout (Sugar Creek Valley Railroad) is featured in the January 2008 issue of O-Gauge Railroad magazine. There is also a video of my layout (done by O-Gauge Railroad magazine) which is mentioned in my feature article. In both of these I mention the CMX clean machine and have had many questions about your clean machine, even from the owner of O-Gauge Railroad magazine.

Tony, I just discovered your site and wanted to thank you for being there for all of us in this great hobby. Your honesty is truly appreciated in your assessments.

I just received a PSX-AR auto reverser/circuit breaker from your business. Great product and excellent service. I'll be doing more business with you. Thanks again.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for mailing out the LH100 throttle to me. I really appreciate your service. Incidentally, I was part of a group that purchased a large number of Sountraxx Tsunamis from you a while ago, organised by Adrian Gunzburg. Your good name and reputation goes before you, as your name comes up in conversation at the model railway club. Thanks again and hopefully we will do more business in the future.

Ezra

Thanks for the reply. I now see that there are several folks in the Yahoo Digitrax Group who are also working on some revisions, apparently with your blessing. So rather than bombard YOU with multiple inputs, I have decided to join their effort. Something you should know, Tony: while the thrust of the effort is to make the documentation really easy and appropriate to Digitrax folks, it comes about because of the very high regard in which you and your company are held. Unquestionably, the thorough work on documentation, superior products and unsurpassed service you've provided have resulted in very loyal customers. And on top of that, they even think you're a nice guy! Have a great day.

I received the 2 "syringes" today and just wanted to thank you for being so kind. I've mentioned several times on the Model Railroad forum that your track-cleaning car is top notch and that you are great people to deal with. Thank you again and Happy Holidays and New Year!

The four PSX circuit breakers and two auto reversers I purchased from you some 12 months ago (creating 6 separate power districts) have now all been installed and are working brilliantly. Absolutely magic!! I will be buying some more of these for stage two development perhaps in about 12 months time.

A quick note to report how delighted I am with the  'REV N' version of the 'Hare'.

When coupled with NCE's powerful, yet elegantly simple 'macro' system, the Hare provides a level of flexibility and set of  capabilities that is simply unmatched in the hobby today.

I'll be back for about 25 more 'REV N's' as I continue to convert my layout to this product.

Thank you for a highly innovative, labour saving and affordable device - keep 'em comin'!

Tony,
Bought the QSI Programmer and 7 chips at the booth. Great staff and very helpful. Downloaded files, installed and programmed the chips this weekend. WOW - great job! While it was a very long wait for some of the sound files, it was worth the wait. Thanks again for such good work!

Hi guys,
Just a quick note to let you know that with your help, I resolved the conflict on the PSX-AR units I have. I double-checked the wiring and it was okay. I took your advice and jumpered J6 3-4 on both units because I'm running larger gauge trains with high voltage lamps, etc. That's what did it! My DCC-converted loco runs through both reverse loops as quiet as a mouse with no hiccups. Those PSX-AR units are worth their weight in gold! Keep coming out with new state-of-the-art electronics for model railroading!
Thanks again,
Tim B.
Tony,
I own the HO CMX+ track cleaning tank car and just love it. I use the corduroy upholstery fabric for cleaning pads supplied with CMX+ tank car and use the great ( but smelly..lol ) "Lacquer Thinner" for the cleaner. As the CMX+ is made of brass the lacquer thinner does not hurt the tank car, nor the metal wheels supplied but disintegrates crud on the rails and leaves no residue whatsoever. My trains run great on crud free rails. I have gotten 9/10 months railroading before having to clean the rails again. Thanks for the "Best" track cleaning car ever.

Hi...I ordered a bunch of QSI upgrade chips and the programmer for my BLI locomotives. I just wanted to say how impressed I was with your service. The order was well packed and since you sent it USPS, I didn’t have to pay a brokerage fee for crossing the border to Canada. Thank you very much for everything, you have one very satisfied customer.
PS: The upgrade chips are very impressive. Installed easily and the locomotives run much better ...

Thank you the free replacement RS/REV unit in response to my request for service on my faulty one (your invoice number *****).  This was an unexpected and very much appreciated solution to the problem.  It's also another manifestation of the superior service you consistently extend to your customers.  That passion for customer satisfaction, plus the numerous products, information, advice, and services you offer, are the reasons I do my DCC business at Tony's Train Exchange.
Thanks again,

All has arrived , thank you for your outstanding cooperation, will recommend you to all my friends as the world's best DCC shop.

"I have personally seen a number of decoders reset (sometimes partially, sometimes completely) following a short circuit. One explanation I have heard (but have yet to test personally) is that the scramble is often the result of a strong voltage spike when that energy is released. As a side note, I have only seen these spikes happen when using PM42s and not when we switched to PowerShields, and after that, not since upgrading to the PSX breakers."
- Doug B.
All my locomotives are sound equipped and yes the Digitrax AR1 gave me a headache with its unreliability. I gave it away and replaced it with a DCC Specialties OG-AR from Tony's Trains. I have not had a single fault since its installation. It's working great.

Dear Tony,
I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your shop and the people that work for you. You are competitive on pricing and fair, but more importantly you and your staff are friendly, helpful (they answer questions and your web site is full of information of all kinds and I really thank you for the work keeping it up etc), courteous, kind, etc. It is rare to find a business in this day and age operating the way that you do.
Thank you,
Bob P.

Dear Sirs,
Just wanted to drop a line and tell you how pleased I am with my first order with you guys. I got exactly what I ordered in less than 5 days after the order was placed. I was very impressed with everything from the person taking my order to the packaging that my products arrived in. I will be contacting Tony's any time I need anything for my DCC needs. I will also be telling everyone at my train club to contact Tony's for any DCC items that they may need. Speedy friendly service is hard to find these days. I will shop Tony's from now on.

Hello,

Two days ago I received my first couple of QSI Upgrade Chips and I just installed them in my 2 Wabash E7s.

I expected an improvement but I was very surprised and am very excited about the upgraded sound and running functions; this is even better than I expected and very easy to change and re-install the Chips.

My dad was a bit skeptical but he was also very impressed with the upgrade.

Congrats on delivering such a great chip for a rather reasonable price and hope the chips for the BLI E6 & BLI E8 / E9 will arrive soon.

Have a nice weekend.

Daniel

Tony,
Just a quick note to say "thanks" for locating a PCM #599 4-8-4, and for keeping me informed about the process along the way. To this model railroader, this is a new way of doing business and communication is important to me. I will check with you the next time I'm in the market for HO equipment.
Thanks again,

I want to thank you as I am 68 years old with diabetes and high blood pressure and your web site has helped me trade my new N scale for HO.
Thanks,

Gentlemen,

Just a quick note from a satisfied customer.  I received my new PS-X 4-circuit circuit breaker yesterday, and installed it today in place of my existing 3-circuit circuit breaker. I purchased your new one because it was advertised as being able to handle the inrush current of sound-equipped locos, and it worked beautifully!

I am using an NCE PowerHouse Pro system, and when a short-circuit occurred, I had to shut down the system using the Emergency Stop button on the ProCab.  Disrupting to the operating session to say the least!  My 'acid test' consisted of shorting out the power district containing at least three sound equipped locos, removing the short, and watching the system come on automatically. This is EXACTLY what I have wanted for a long time (well, since I got into DCC).  Thanks again.

Let me also thank you for the prompt shipping, and the e-mail letting me know when it was shipped.  It may be a small thing, but it is appreciated.

PS - This works precisely as well as the OG-AR, with which I am also very pleased.

Tony,
I would just like to thank you for the great staff that you have working in your Sales Dept. especially Josh and Lisa. When I first was thinking about getting into DCC I called and Josh and he took time out from his busy schedule to help me sift through the maze of DCC mfgs and helped me select the NCE PowerCab which I am absolutely elated with. Now here comes the good part, after he told me to let him know if I need help, wellllllas a newbie of course I did, so after many e-mails later I am one very happy and satisfied customer and as far as I'm concerned as my layout grows, Tony's will grow right with me! J you are the best, good customer service, great shipping and of course great prices, thank you.
You guys are great and keep up the good works!!

I recently ordered an upgrade chip from Caboose Hobbies in Denver for my BLI on30 C-16 steam locomotive.  I installed the new chip last night carefully following your instructions and the results are stunning.  The upgrade chip was everything you said it would be.  I appreciate the upgrade.
Thanks,
Harvey H.

I've seen a demo of one of the new 'adaptive' breakers from DCC Specialties that was nothing short of phenomenal. We had no less than 14 sound locos in the district - more than half of them older QSIs ... and it recovered from a quarter test short without having to roll any of the locos off of the track! The breaker just kept feeding the power "slowly" until everything was running normal. And it was a reversing section and it worked just as well when reversing. We just could not create a scenario where the breaker would fail to recover. So - if you've got one of those beautiful lighted Cal Zephyrs and an ABBA set of sound-equipped Fs to pull it ... this breaker will allow your layout to come back to life normally after I or someone just like me blows a switch. I know -you- never do this but you see I'm an old fart who can't see very well and so this happens more often than I wish. So, if recovering from shorts is a problem for you ... this is one suh-weeeeeet breaker!

This is just a feedback for your company info. You shipped my order ref [...] on the 26th December 2006 and was actually delivered to my home in Glasgow, Scotland in the United Kingdom on Saturday morning the 30th December 2006. No doubt your company together with myself are more than pleased  if not amazed with your particular shipping/posting system!!

I have with many other UK modellers purchased items from other US companies in the past  which normally take several weeks to arrive.  May I thank you for such an excellent shipping system.

Yours sincerely,
David S., Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

To Tony's,

Please accept my sincerest compliments on your great help with the placing my order (X6121125). The gentleman who assisted me, I didn't catch his name, was very, very knowledgeable, helpful and after listening to my needs, offered excellent suggestions. Checking my order status with UPS this morning, I find that it was shipped yesterday and is scheduled for delivery today. WOW!,  it doesn't get any better than that.

While I'm brand new to DCC, I've been in HO for 35 or so years and have used analog command control for almost 20 years. Given that information, he was extremely helpful with diagnosing my needs. This order represents my basic needs to get started, but there will be follow-up orders for more decoders, I'll probably need 35 or so eventfully. A second booster with power supply and more circuit breaker assemblies plus the "speedometer" for speed matching per Mike Polsgrove.

Thank you again for wonderful service and I'll try to thank you personally at the show next month. I'm part of the Railroad Museum of New England booth so maybe I can get free for a few minutes.

I check your site often and recently added one of your CMX Clean Machines, primarily for use on the Aloha & Western Oregon Lines Model RR Club.  It's sensational!

Tony,
I finally got around to checking the PSOne I purchased from you and as you expected it does work and works great! In fact I like its operation so well that I will be getting another one soon. Once again thanks for the great support!

To the Owner and/or President of Tony's Trains:

I am writing this letter to express my appreciation for the extraordinary effort of your employees.

Several weeks ago, my father, ordered a DCC and an engine controller, along with a horn and a whistle, for my sons twelfth birthday.  The package arrived as anticipated.  On birthday, September 1, we learned that my father would be sent home from the hospital with no more than a few weeks left in his life.  Over the holiday weekend, both my husband and I worked with [son's name withheld] to see if we could install the controller in his DCC-ready engine.  There was very little overlap in the parts identified in the engine diagram and those in the controller instructions in spite of my father's assurances that [son's name withheld] would be able to install the controller.

On Tuesday morning, I called your office and spoke with Josh Shedaker.  We quickly agreed that the best way to get the controller in the engine was for me to ship the engine and controller to your facilities in Vermont.  When I inquired, Josh indicated that the normal installation time was eight weeks.  I then explained the relationship between my father and my son and my father's short life expectancy and asked if there was anyway it could be done in a few days. After putting me on hold for a few minutes, Josh returned and assured me every effort would be made to return the engine as quickly as possible.

Even though UPS was quite late in delivering the engine to your facility on Wednesday your staff was able to install the controller and send the engine back out the same day.  During this time, Josh updated me regularly, confirming the arrival of the engine and then its departure and forwarding the UPS shipping notice.

The engine arrived back in Minneapolis on Thursday and my son was quickly able to get it running with the DCC after school.  He was quite excited to show off all of the features.  I told my father of our success and of [son's name withheld] joy with the birthday present on Friday of last week.  Much sooner than we expected, my father's condition deteriorated rapidly on Saturday morning and he passed away on Sunday, knowing that his grandson had his DCC working.

Without the dedication of Josh and others on your staff whom I don't know, my father would not have been able to know the joy that his gift had brought to my son.  Since I am unable to do so personally, I hope you will thank each of the staff members involved in getting the engine returned so quickly on my behalf.  Integrity and dedication were two of my father's defining characteristics, so we greatly appreciated it when we see those traits in others.

Sincerely,

[name withheld]

Hi Guys
Just a short appreciative note re your upgrade chip.
I have installed 4 of them, 3 in light and heavy BLI Mikados, and 1 in a BLI NW2. In every case I have followed your recommendations in setting up the CVs for low speed use of the BEMF facility, and have to say I am very pleased. 1 smph is a handy speed to run at in yard and switching operations! We all know why the features were not available on these locos at birth, by virtue of the MTH (thats Muddying The Hobby!) legal challenge, but the upgrade sorts all that. I also find the alternative chuffs to be good news.
Keep up the good work!
Kind regards,
Ian D.

Tony and gang,
Thank you very much for the repair and return of my PSRev which arrived today 15 August. I have installed and tested the unit tonight and it works fine.
Thank you for your excellent service and especially at no cost to me for the repair and return. (Especially so given I caused the problem and the return via airmail.)
I have always been happy to recommend the PSRev unit to others and your after sales support has confirmed that you stand by your products.
Please feel free to use this testimonial in support of this product and your great service.
Thank you.

I have received the upgrade chips for three BLI locos and installed them. In the two 2-8-2 lights, they work flawlessly. BTW, the slow speed operation makes the chip worth the price for that alone. Looking forward to hearing from you. Keep up the great work.

Hi Tony,
I wanted to express my gratitude to you and the others at Tonys Train Exchange for being of such great help to me in getting started in DCC.  I have obtained from you several DCC equipped locomotives, an NCE system, decoders, test equipment and other items to upgrade older locomotives.  Besides the different files you can access on the site, questions submitted are answered on a level that can easily be understood and you are never made to feel that you got in the way of something more important.  I have found no other source for this information that matches the degree of personal touch as Tony's.  In addition it was a pleasure to meet you at the National Train Show in Philadelphia.  I look forward to many more transactions with you.

Hi Tony,

Recently I received an upgrade chip for my SW7, only to find it didn't work. One phone call to you and a good discussion resulted in your sending a replacement chip which arrived five days later. Everything now works fine and there is certainly a major improvement in crawl speed and tolerance of none-too-clean track. Thank you very much for your assistance and prompt action. Would there were more  dealers as courteous and helpful as Tony's Trains. Must be why I got  most of my supplies from you! Thanks again,

Brian R.

Tony,
The upgrade of the chip for the BLI E-7 is just great. This new chip really makes a difference in the performance of this engine. I look forward the announcements of the chips for the GG1 and J-1.

Hi!

The PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR] I ordered arrived in the mail today. Thank you very much for such a quick response! The unit works like a dream as opposed to my Digitrax AR1 unit! Thanks again!

Best Wishes,
Tom R.

Tony,
Meant to tell you your improved web site for ordering is great. Obviously well thought out and it works like a charm.

Tony,

Our club - The Ohio Valley Lines (Ambridge, PA) - is just about wholly Digitrax. That is until a bit ago. We eliminated the PM-42 Power Management System Reversers and substituted your PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR] PowerShield this past fall before our Christmas Show. The difference in performance was PHENOMENAL! Drop outs are gone! Shut-downs are gone! 'Phantom' shorts are gone! We can go a whole show without a single disruption of operation at the reversing blocks. Reversals are done perfectly now. Thanks for a GREAT product.

Now, if we can only keep the operators from trying to enter a reversing section while someone else is leaving it!!

Don't get me wrong; I love DCC! But operators had better pay attention to their trains. Less chatting with the public and more attention to the train!

Very sincerely yours,
Douglas C. R.

Hi Tony,
Chris here from Australia. Thanks for the advice - it is really appreciated.Your company is extremely helpful and is a credit to the model railroad industry. It is great to know we are not alone out here on the other side of the world.
Have a great day and cheers from Downunder.
Chris
Just wanted to let you know that our 0.15A Z scale trains ran FLAWLESSLY on the PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR]. Tested dozens of times on the reversing loop and Y section.
I had three AR1's, two for reversing loops and one for a turntable. The AR1 used for the turntable does the job very well and I still use it. However, when engines exited either of the two reversing loops they would pause and then go forward again. No matter how I changed the settings on the AR1 made no difference. With some consisted units, they actually stopped and would not continue forward without an 0-5-0 push. I have since changed the two reversing loops to two Tony's PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR] units and I have had absolutely no pauses or stops since I made the change. I am extremely happy with the Tony's PS units and I know that the extra $10 bucks is very worthwhile since I no longer have to worry about continuous running/stopping. BTW, I also use Tony's PS units for short protection, using one each of his PS1, PS2 and PS4 for my seven separate power sections. They also work extremely well with absolutely no problems. Again very worth the money I paid for them. Good luck, G.

I have to agree with all those who have piled on in praise of Tony's products. I really don't care if there's something else out there that can save me a couple of bucks since this product has performed so well as so fair a price. Don't get cheap on yourselves and then regret it later. Stick with Tony's stuff, it really works.
Craig W.

I would like to thank you for bringing this product to this side of the world. Set up was easy and the video was amazing. Even my family was amazed by the video from such a small package. Now because of that, I'm now of thinking about redoing my railroad to get even more fun out of it. (this is a good thing). So I thank you again for this cool product.

Speaker arrived today, thanks for the fast service. This was to replace one I destroyed ... Soundtraxx is now installed in one of my Atlas/Kato GP7s and it's fantastic. Again thanks for the great service ... Tony's is best!

I just wanted to let you know that your info on dcc was very helpful in deciding whether to take the leap and also in deciding which system was right for me. It is the most understandable and concise I have read on the subject so thanks for that.

Hi,
Like to say thanks to ya all :) for the order. I had placed a small order, not being in a hurry - Presto - Package already arrived! I had one question about an item, that I was not sure where the resistor went - A quick call and I spoke to a real person - Nice to know one can call Tony's and get a real person and a quick answer - without all the "press this and that ".
Much Obliged.

Guys-
Just a note to let you know that I solved a reverse loop problem by replacing the MRC circuit with TTE's PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR]. I'm running n-scale and dropping the AC down to about 12V using a diode circuit. MRC's relay works intermittently or not at all at those voltage levels. I had temporarily solved the problem by jumpering out a couple of diodes to boost the voltage up, but the solid-state PSRev doesn't seem to care about voltage sags. Thanks for a nice product. I don't miss hearing the relay click.
-Ron E.

Tony,

I'd like to thank you and your staff for your patience. I recently had to send a Kato SD80MAC for a second ditch light repair. The initial phone repair person (I think it was Ken) explained that I probably had my DCC track voltage too high (e.g., ~16V with RRampMeter). I believe for the second repair additional resistors were added with more robust LED's. I've since taken Ken's advice and lowered my track voltage to 14V. I've run the engine for few hours now with no problems (Previously the lights burned out after few minutes of operation). Thanks again.

Tony,

Regarding the UP F units from Athearn Genesis, if you people are not satisfied with the sound quality and setup, and the decoders are not user frieindly, as far as programing readback, I'd prefer to just skip these if that is agreeable with you.

I'm too new at this to have any interest in trying to figure out what I need to do to make things work the way I'd expect they should out of the box. Without readback on the CVs, a primary feature of interest for buying the Digitrax Chief as my first DCC, I really need to stay away from non-responsive decoders.

What is the matter with these people? Are other Genesis units also using similar MRC decoders? Is that kind of info generally available for the neophyte consumer? I expect that you folks are about the only ones who even check-out the arriving new stock. I've gotten nothing but blank stares and bs from most standard hobby shops lately so I plan to do as much of my business with you as I can.

It does not seem that all DCC w/Sound loco makers advertise the decoder manufacturer, or am I just not getting the full scoop where I get my news?

There's a lot to know, and I don't care to learn too much the hard way. I really appreciate your looking out for the (your) customer.

Thank you sincerely,
Gordon M.

The Hare™ is an enormous value for the money. Our layout is currently under electrical construction. We etch our own boards for switch machine control and position indication. Computer operation is also involved. Mega labor is involved. Now, I know most modelers don't go to this length, but they don't get the reliability I get either. The Hare™ has cut my install time in half and increased my operational functionality, without losing any reliability.

Thanks for your time. Keep up the good work. I look forward to the reporting feature of the Hare™ in the future.

Bob M.

Hi Tony's Trains,

I have used your site quite a lot over the last year or so and found it excellent!

I want to thank you in particular for the stationary decoder comparison pages. I have found them very informative and useful. I have experience of several of the decoders that you mention, and as a result of your pages have bought the Team Digital SMD8 decoders. I also have (accidentally) a Roco 8-way decoder (10775).

By far the best in performance is, as you say, the SMD8. It might help others who look at your pages to mention one specific major difference between these decoders: some need a separate AC supply, others don't. In my view, this is a significant difference.

The SMD8 will switch two switch machines (PECO) together, even when one of them is fitted with microswitches or single-pole switch. Best regards, and thanks again for a great resource!

Hi all,
Just wanted to compliment you on your efforts to keep us up to date on DCC products, reviews and information. Yours is always the first place I check for reliable information, and has and will continue to be my DCC purchase's vendor.
Good work!
Bill
I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that I installed my PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR] last night and how easy it was too. Following what was writted in the included information sheet, I just attached the inputs to the bus and the outputs to the reversing section. A quick test as suggested showed all to be in good order. I then ran my first loco over the section and it proceeded through the section without a glitch. Next was the sound equipped loco and it too went straight through without hesitation and no sound interuption. Thank you for creating a great product.
With regards,
Claude Q.
I just wanted to say thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for making a great product (the PSRev [edited: now PSX-AR]). I was getting really PO'd messing around with that DPDT switch everytime my train went into "the forbidden zone", and even though it went through it it would make a complete stop and then you better be on your toes to throw the switch.

My PSRev came and I had it hooked up in about 15 minutes, I checked everything twice and then I ran a train in it. WOW!!!, you couldn't even tell you went through "the forbidden zone". I couldn't believe my eyes so I ran through again after I coupled up another diesel to run double headed and I'm impressed, no hint of a hesitation. I'm glad I was in the Model Railroader forum to find out about your product.

Thanks again,
Bruce S.

I wanted to thank Ken for his help this morning. He resolved my issues with my Digitrax system (even though repeated calls and sending the system back to Digitrax got me nothing). Many thanks!

Greetings,
I am a new customer to your excellent firm. Yesterday I received my DCC outfit and was pleased beyond words. Dealing with your staff was a breeze and shipment was extremely fast. I have enjoyed and learned from your well-designed web site for some time and was glad to have to opportunity to order from such a knowledgeable concern.
Thank you for your assistance. In a couple of weeks you will be getting an order for a Broadway Limited SW-7 switcher. I sincerely think this is the beginning of a long-term relationship.

Tony and Ken,
I was amazed when I received my Overland Trackmobile after your technician installed the decoder. I have to admit I did not look at the unit before I shipped it to you for decoder installation. It's tiny. That said your technician beefed up the pick-up, added weight and installed the decoder and it works great. Please thank the guy who worked on it for me. Great job....

Tony and crew -

Just recently purchased a two section PowerShield and wanted to let you know that I think it is fantastic. I spent 6 weeks with NCE Support and 3 different copies of their EB3 and never did get it to work. Dropped the PowerShield in and worked like a champ right out of the box.

Want to also thank you for sizing the power connection holes (In/Out) to accept 14ga. wire. I'm sure many folks would prefer a non solder connection, but I prefer to have the ability to use the larger wire size. However, I did solder in the headers from DigiKey for the various other connections.

Keep up the good work. Bob D. (Omaha)

The Life-Like 0-8-0 with the tender pick-up problem was received today after just a few days in your shop. I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the performance now!!!! And one couldn't ask for a quicker turn-around time....kudos!!!!! Nice job!! Thanks so much.

Hi Tony,
I am blown away, the package arrived this morning which is amazing, thanks for the fast shipping :-) I will definitely have to come back to you for my DCC and other railway needs if you keep up the shipping like that, I have very hit and miss experiences ordering from USA at times but I always return to the people who do it well.
Many thanks again, Keith [New Zealand]
Thanks for getting back to me. Everything is working fine. The Hare™ is going to be a big help as we design our new layout. We really appreciate the effort that went into designing this piece of equipment.

Tony,
You really made my day. With my Digitrax Zephyr system, I was having all sorts of problems programming my new BLI RSD-15. This was my first try at using a sound equipped locomotive. I was having a lot of problems and was in conversation with BLI direct. I saw on your web site that the PowerPax from DCC Specialties will eliminate my problems. Desperate to try anything I purchased the item from you online. The PowerPax has been nothing short of a miracle. I can now operate my RSD-15 to the full capabilities of the system.
Thank you for such great service! You have won over a new customer.
Sincerely,
John K.
Good Morning Tony,
Thank you for your prompt response to my order.
I've been out of the 'active' model railroading loop for about 15 years because of work and a busy family life. I continued to keep up with the technology via Model Railroader and N-Scale magazines. I'm now to the point where I can clean up some space for a layout (my third) and begin to incorporate some of the new technology. With the recent windfall of my tax return, I decided to jump in with both feet!
Your web site has been a great resource as I investigated which system to use.
You have an outstanding reputation for products and service. Thanks again, and I'm sure you'll be hearing from me.
Regards,
Todd S.

Tony,
I am writing in regards to a recent order I placed directly with you. You answered my questions, had a few of your own and steered me in the direction for a DCC system. I ordered a few more items and found even a few more in the box upon arrival.
I am grateful Mr.Parisi. You can expect a future order from me.
Should anyone ask me where to get great service, patience, and complete confidence when ordering rest assured, nowhere else to look but Tony's Train Exchange.
Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Dan B.

Thank you for your response to my request for information on the PSRev. Larry Maier e-mailed the info to me. Great Web Site; Great products; Great Service..Have a good day
Thanks again,

Hey Tony,
Want to talk fast? I called in the order about noon here on Monday and my buddy at my local post office paged me at 0649 (am) Wed., to let me know it was in and ready for pickup. Now is that great service or what.
Thanks a lot guys,
Bob
Good afternoon Tony,
The parcel arrived safely today - thanks. Your reverser, one installed already, is heaps better than the Digitrax AR-1. No comparison.
David
I have an ad on your bulletin board that needs to be pulled. I found the NYC RS2 I was looking for thanks to one of your customers. This is a great service you provide and I wanted to thank you. Bill K
I like being your customer. You have an expertise - a niche - that no other model railroad retailer has. And you are responsive to problems. Thank you.
Fred
I was just working on my railroad and using my RRampMeter. I love this addition to my tools. It works great and is indispensable when I am wiring and changing track layout and turnouts. Thank you for thinking ahead and seeing the need for such a valuable tool!
Larry B.
Tony,
I've wired 28 turnout frogs in parallel to the output of the OG-AR. SURPRISE!!!
It works perfectly. Now my short coupled diesels and steam locomotives glide along the switching yard without so much as a hiccup.
Prior to installing the AR, the locos were subject to constant stalling at the frogs. While the problem could have been solved with relays at each frog, the wiring was simplified and the cost minimized by using the reverser.
Thanks for making information such as this available to the modeling community.
Fly safely,
Marv S.
I am new to the hobby and really new to DCC. I spoke with both Tony and Ken and they were very helpful in helping me select the Prodigy MRC system. Ken was very knowledgable in is direction in the correct decoder for my Atlas RS-1 and everything fit just like he said. Thanks again and I look forward to many more orders!!
Anthony H.
I left the Miniatronics track cleaner I bought from you (to go with my CMX cleaner) at the Big E on your table. Apparently you found it, realized it had been sold to me and sent it out. I assumed that it would probably just get put back into stock since there did not seem to be a way to check a loose cleaner against inventory. What a class thing for you to do! Another reason I continue to be a TTX very happy customer. Thanks again!
Gary
Tony,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! This is a great item [PSFour]. I shall recommend you and your products to my friends who happens to share the same interest in model trains. You shall hear from me again sometime in the future.

Hi Tony,
I just wanted to let you know I received my order in fine shape. I certainly enjoy doing business with you. The only thing holding me back now is my funding! Thank you again for making my purchase a worry-free one. I ordered the N&W #1218 class A 2-6-6-4 made by Broadway Limited. I really enjoy your web site. It is very informative. I also appreciate your keeping me informed about the status of my order via e-mail.
Thank you again,

Tony,
Thank you once again for the outstanding customer support & service. I originally sought you out at the Milwaukee show because of the comments left about your service on various forums & BBs. I am glad I did. It was a 100 mile drive up to MKE, and it was worth it. I can't wait to try the Digitrax Super Chief. I saw a couple of add-ons in your flyer I want to add so I will call soon. Thanks again from a "New Loyal Customer".
Ken
BTW, commendations on a great site -- more than just a web-store -- more like an on-line specialist shop! Looking forward to doing business soon -- especially with the current favourable exchange rate!
Colin, The Netherlands
I bought a CMX last month after trying just about every other track cleaner available. I should have saved my money and bought the CMX first. I used it on the 320ft mainline and most of the yard tracks between two GP60's (1 pushing , 1 pulling).
I am impressed.

Tony,
I just wanted to confirm receipt of my PSRev I got it installed, and it works flawlessly. I'm a staunch Digitrax user, and a big believer in their products, and have used them since 1997, but the PM4 is marginal compared to PowerShield I'll be looking to replace the PM4 with your Powershield 4 some time in the near future. Hats off to you for a great product!
Mel A.
Hi Tony,
Goods arrived safely. Thank you for your speedy delivery and service. Will highly recommend you to my train friends.

Tony:
Thanks very much for the suggestion, and it's an excellent one. I'll wait for Tsunami, then send the locos in to you. And I appreciate how you have always conducted your business. You are very ethical, responsive, and it's a pleasure doing business with you.
Keep up the good work!
Michael M.
Tony,
Thank you for your time and help getting me started in DCC yesterday. I really appreciate your expertise in sorting out the decoder choices. It will be interesting to get to "hands-on" learning next. Sorry for the confusion on the web site link info. Not sure what happened there, but for whatever reason I had a hard time getting to that page before. In any case, very nice site and I look forward to continuing business with you and your firm.
Again, thanks for your time and help.
Regards,
Detlef
I have received, installed and configured my MS 100 w/JRMI. This is a dream come true! Man talk about awesome control and operations of my Digitrax N Scale "Great" Rock River Railroad!!! DCC and now computer control ... I'm in model railroad heaven.
Thanks.
Looking forward to doing more business as I continue exploring the DCC possibilities!!! Yes---you may publish my note!!! Everyone in the hobby should have this freedom!!! I will share whatever insight I could offer a fellow railroader!

Hi Tony and greetings from Australia.
Very happy to let you know that the Atlas HO Trainmaster loco which I recently ordered has arrived safely here in Oz. It looks, runs and sounds magnificent!!
Thank you for your great service, as always!!
From your very happy customer "Down Under" ....

Hi Tony,
Thank you for the fast answer. Today I had a close look at your website and was wonderfully surprised about the hints, comments and offers. What a great address to visit!
Rolf

I think your web site is great! I am going to buy a DCC package from you within the next two weeks but am not sure which one to get. My new layout will be 24' x 8', running 3 to 4 engines at the most at one time. I have about 8 engines that will need decoders. I am looking hard at Digitrax but not sure which one to get. Also the MRC Prodigy but I see you are already having problems with it. Thanks for any help you can be.
-Greg
Would you remove my ad from your Classified section? I have sold all of the engines. Thank you very much. Dale
Tony:
I just want to say what a pleasure it is to deal with you. Always a quick response and speedy delivery.
Thanks --
Norm and Ann W.
You have been great to me. Purchased two sets of engines, DCC installed in one. Thanks for making this painless.
Thanks Tony!
I received my last order from you on Monday - SUPER FAST - WOW!
Thanks again for the great service and products! The first PSREV I bought from you works GREAT and my RR friends saw it and have now bought them for their rev loops and turntables.
Regards,
Bryan
Hi
I don't very often write to people i buy things off - but felt compelled this time. Last week i placed 2 orders for some decoders - one with you for 4 decoders and an order here [in Australia] from a place in Sydney thinking that the Sydney order would reach me first and i could get to work on them first. Imagine my surprise when it was your order that reached me first! 5000 miles versus 100!! I also love the email update so you know what is happening. Fantastic service!
Andrew H.
Sirs,
Thank you for processing my order for TCS DCC chips so promptly. This is really first class service. I have never used the internet for a transatlantic order before and feel you offer not only the most competitive prices but a really fast delivery service too. Thank you very much.
Tony K.
All members of our Western Province Model Railway Club would like to thank you for really excellent service. We are extremely grateful here in Cape Town.
Regards
Tony, many thanks for advising on how to program the Broadway engines. Since we added the PowerPax to the programming track, it is all quick and dirty to program them on the club layout. I have one of the first Broadway Hudsons that was almost relegated to the display shelf for problem with programming it. One last time with the PowerPax in line and that's all it took. We did not have to shut any of the programming down, i.e. lights, bells, sound, etc. Well worth the added investment. Now it is just a matter of minutes to program new engines.
The best service I have ever received - thank you. Got a shock when it turned up today. I have been trying to get the products over here in Australia for 12 months. I also gave your name to another person who has been chasing things for 7 months. Slow as snails over here. That's why I got a shock to have a package so soon . Excellent work.
Regards
rex Very happy customer will do a lot more business here.

Tony,
The PSRev turned up this afternnoon. It took just over only 4 days to make it here (halfway around the world) from when I ordered it. This is fantastic ... what more can I say ??
I appreciate your prompt shipping and great service ... I'm sure I will tell lots of people how easy it is to deal with you, and the great service that I have received.
Thanks,
George M.

Hi,
It's hard to find good information on the Internet, but your website is a valuable source of info, well done.
Thanks,
Kenneth S.

Dear Tony,

I'm writing to tell you how much I appreciate your employee, Colin Rose. You may recall that I was having difficulty with the Atlas H-16-44 I purchased through you. Colin tried working on it at the Big E Show and, when he could not get it working there, he took it back to the shop. Well, after many trips back and forth through the mail, the engine was the worse for wear and still didn't work well.

Colin was the "go-to" guy on this project and took my disappointment and frustration seriously - to the point of ensuring that I received a full refund for the engine. That extra effort went a long way toward keeping me as a customer.

I value the time and effort you all put into making this right, but I wanted especially to single out Colin for special recognition. He went above and beyond and I sincerely appreciate his work. As a result, I look forward to being able to do business with you in the future.

Christopher A.

Tony, just a note let you know that my repaired engine arrived. Well, I took it down to the club Tuesday nite and it ran fine. No problems, Put it on programming track and the engine took the code in fine fashion. Thanks for your great effort and fine service.

I too, recently purchased a CMX Clean Machine. I use on my home layout and our club layout. Both had excellent results!!
Tony's,
Having always used track erasers (e.g. Bright Boys) for track cleaning, I was used to having to give a locomotive a frequent nudge to keep things rolling. I was a bit hesitant to spring for the cost of your CMX Clean Machine...but in retrospect it is the best $100 that I've spent on model railroading. The flawlessly clean track has eliminated ALL of the nudging, and has put the fun into operation. Thanks for providing a great product!
Eric
Congratulations on your ad in MR about DCC dumping: high-class!
Thanks!

Hi Tony,
Great News! My Powerhouse pro arrived today and it works just fine. The throttle was replaced due to a manufacturing fault. Thanks for all you help in this matter.
Your after sales service is first class. I look forward to trying to figure out CVs!
Thanks again,

Dear Tony,
Digitrax DT400R ordered 3/12/04, delivered 3/15/04 to the UK (and missed import duty & tax). Must be a record.

To Everyone at Tony's Train Exchange:
I just wanted to extend a hearty Thank You for filling my recent orders so quickly (1 day turnaround to Eastern Pennsylvania, especially during the Easter weekend!). Your customer service is outstanding, and your web page is my first stop to find information regarding the Model Railroad hobby. You have gained a customer for life!
Sincerely,
M. W. S.
Tony, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and your staff; I have been a customer for many years. Last Monday (3/29), I ordered (Invoice Number [edited out]) a Lenz LH 100 Keypad based Dispatcher's Throttle (which was on sale). I believe Shirley took my order (just the one item); she checked to see if one was available, and she told me that it would be shipped Monday afternoon. Well, on Wednesday (3/31) afternoon, the Lenz LH 100 arrived at my doorstep. I could not believe that the shipment would arrive in Fort Collins, CO that quickly.
Thanks.
Ed
I just wanted you to know I got the Powershield, and PS Rev's all hooked up at they worked great! I was a little apprehensive to power up the system, but all the status LED's lit up and everything checked out. I'm especially impressed with the PS Rev units. There is no noise, no sparks, and no hesitation crossing the reversing gaps. It works as advertised.
Thanks
Dean H.
Hi Tony,
Received my CMX a few days ago and it works great, I have 1ea of most of the cleaners on the market and the CMX is the only one that really, really works.
A suggestion that I think should go on the instruction sheet? I have only steam power and its all brass! Good looking and in general runs well but none of the engines pull worth a damn. Found that if I removed the tension springs from the cleaning pad and just let the weight of brass block do the work with the velvet pad, that I had little problem with slippage even on my steepest grades! Cleaning power did not suffer much?
Regards Dave W.
I absolutely love the PSone and PSrevs I got from you they made my wiring life so much easier! I would highly recommend these products to anyone even rank beginners like myself!
Tony,
I just got the last 28 DZ143, thanks for all your help. I never had a better experience dealing with a business, and will definitely purchase all my DCC materials from you.
Ulrich
Received my Stewart FTA/B engines today and just got done programming the engines. I will say that they are flawless Great Job. It was worth the wait. I want to thank everyone on the team there keep up the outstanding work.
Rail-Fully Yours,

I just received my N-Scale Model Power USRA 4-6-2 with decoder. It looks and works great. Thanks for the prompt service. It came faster than I expected.
Keith G.
Hi Tony,
More importantly, I want to thank you. Your response was professional and very encouraging. Your competition is miles beneath you. You would be amazed at the very poor responses I received from other so-called "brass DCC repair experts." There is certainly a wide disparity between the good business people and the not-so-good business people.
Joel G.
My club just recently purchased our first DCC system from you fine folks. However, when the system arrived on the day of our club meeting, we set it up only to find that the system was defective. After realizing it only had one antenna instead of the required two, we called Tony's to inquire about the other antenna. Tony's sent out a replacement antenna within the hour via priority mail. We finished setting up the system, and couldn't get it to work very well at all. Most if not all the buttons on the cab wouldn't respond when pressed, and it would often hang up after the cab was unplugged and plugged back in. We called NCE for some troubleshooting advice, and were told that the unit was defective, and we would have to ship it back at our expense. So we boxed the unit up and sent it on it's way, hoping to have a new unit soon. I decided to call Tony's to see if there was another option, as we wanted to get the DCC system up and running fairly soon. Tony himself answered the phone. After explaining the problem, Tony offered to pick up the cost of shipping the old system, and send us a new system via UPS orange label. Our new system arrived two days later, and works GREAT! We just wanted to thank Tony and the other employees of Tony's Trains for the fine customer service. We plan to purchase ALL of our remaining DCC products exclusively from Tony's and will gladly tell ANYONE about your great customer service! Thanks again for your help.

I just wanted to let you know how happy I am that I have the RRamp and your Powershield. Anybody who runs DCC and who doesn't have these two devices is really missing something. The Powershield has made my life easy and the diagnostic capability of the Rramp is outstanding. Well done! Thanks for looking out for us DCC users. Regards, Edwin

Hi Tony and greetings from Australia. Just a quick note to let you know that the CMX track cleaner I recently ordered has arrived safely. Thank you very much for your great service and, I am very pleased to say, what a great job the CMX has done of cleaning my tracks. This is a real quality product and you guys are to be congratulated. Many, many thanks once again. With kindest regards,
Chris H.
I recently purchased a Power Pax programing booster from Tony's, but could not get it to work. After a couple of phone calls Tony said he would send me a loaner command station and I should send my command station to him. It turned out that the problem was in my equipment. Tony found it, and sent the command station to the mfgr who repaired it free (even though it was 3 yrs old). Now everything works the way it should. Now that is real service. Again THANK YOU Tony and every one at TTX and also NCE for the fine service. John S.
Hi Tony,
Received steam decoders yesterday! Can`t wait to try them out! A big thank you for the excellent service from you and your staff. Look forward to dealing with you in the future.
Mervyn W.
Hi Tony,
It was a pleasure speaking with you this morning! Once again, I gotta tell you how nice and especially content-full your website is -- much more than the required minimum just to sell product.
Thanks again, Bob
Hi Tony and greetings from Australia.
Just a quick note to let you know that the Bachmann 2-6-6-2 loco arrived here safely on Friday afternoon. That's amazing ...... you guys shipped it on 9 January and it arrived here on 16 January ..... WOW!! (I usually allow around 9-14 days for items to reach Oz so 7 days is close to a record!). Most importantly, I'm happy to let you know that the loco runs magnificently. Special thanks to Ken, too, for his great customer service and support. Cheers from Oz ......
Chris H. (Australia)

PS: I like your site, it's very straightforward, easy to navigate, and I like all the comparisons. It seems as if you are actually trying to help your customers (or potential customers) make the best purchase for their money. Far too many retail businesses are all too happy to sell an item, but are terrible when it comes to helping you when and if you have problems with the product.
Donald B.

Tony:
First let me thank you for everything you have done to try and fix this problem which was clearly Digitrax's problem and Not TTX's. It's this kind of customer service that separates Tony's from all the other box movers on the net. That said, I am going to reiterate both the problems, and the steps I have taken to alleviate the issue so you are more clearly informed as to the problem so you may better provide a solution.
Tony,
Thanks for calling today with the information I requested regarding the remapping of the bell and coupler sounds on the BLI 2-8-2 engine to the NCE throttles. Setting CV35 to 16 and CV37 to 4 worked perfectly. Thanks again for the help. Hope to see you in Springfield.

Fred D.
Thanks for your excellent service. Item ordered 5th Jan arrived in UK on 10th. Fitted on 11th. Works perfect - Many Thanks
Nick E., Leeds, UK
I go to your Web site about 90 % of time when I am on line and Unisys weather site the other 10 % :-) now and then Soundtraxx - to see if they have come out with their new Tsunami stuff yet ? Your page more helpful than any other one I have found ie DCC etc.
Thanks much
Tom E in Asheville
Tony:
Thank you very much for your help in getting me started with a most excellent DCC system. I also appreciate the on-phone help & expertise shared throughout the selection process. I don't recall who helped me with my order but he did a great job of helping me understand my actual needs and listening to what I wanted. You are the real DCC experts!

Tony:
Thank you for the prompt delivery of the decoder installed RS-1. I received it Dec. 24th. Thank you for the excellent service.
Ed W., Oaklyn, NJ
To all the great folks at Tony's - Happy Holidays. I want to thank you folks for the great job in getting the decoder installed in the New RS-1 we purchased. The decoder was set up in the exact scheme we use at the railroad club. This makes things a lot easier for us. Just thought I would let you know that we really appreciate your service. Happy Holidays to you all.

Hi Tony,
The above order arrived today so I can spend the Christmas holiday converting some more locomotives to DCC. Thanks again for the good service, I'll be ordering some more decoders from you in the new year. Hope you all have a good Christmas and a prosperous 2004.
Nigel J.
Thanks for posting the info about these locomotives. It shows that you want your customers to be aware of issues even if it might slow sales.
Scott
I received this order on Friday, October 3. That is remarkable considering two postal systems and Canada customs were involved. I am very happy with both your service and your price for the item, and will be dealing with you again in the furture.
Jim B.
Hi Tony,
I'm just starting out with DCC. I must have read a million pages of stuff all very confusing until I came across your web site. Fantastic! Can you suggest a decoder for lighting passenger cars? Is there a combined lighting kit/decoder available?
Thanks, Scott (Australia)
Tony,
Just a quick note. TTE's PSRev auto reversing device is great. I struggled so long with the Digitrax version, with all the cumbersome wiring and soldering. I used to watch my locomotives approach the rail gap and hold my breath, hoping for a successful and uninterrupted pass.
I have not had any problems since I scrapped the Digitrax PM4 unit. The PSRev unit went in simply and has performed flawlessly. Now I don't even think about the fact that I have two reversing sections and no more noisy "click".
Thanks for a great product!
Rainy
Tony's
Just a short note to advise that I have received the above here in Australia - took about 10 days to get here. Absolutely agree with Larry Maier's review of the decoder but am more than pleased that I can get an 'O' scale decoder for $US50.00 even if I don't use the sound!!!! I will be using the sound along with Maier's suggestion that a resistor be fitted in series with the speaker lead. I guess one of the advantages of 'O' scale is that the big sound from this decoder leaves you in no doubt that a loco is coming.
Once again very pleased with your service and more than happy with the decoder notwithstanding its limitations. Keep up the good work.
regards from DownUnder
John L.
The first engine with ddc was fantastic. This can really bring a switching layout to life. Here is my order for a second engine with ddc.
Terry F.
I am very happy with Tony's PS ONE (actually PS TWO in my case) and PS REV units as well. For all the problems you read about with you know who's PM4 and PM42, I have yet to have a problem with Tony's PS REV. Secondly all the problems you read about melting wheels and burning out switch points and contacts, both the PS ONE and PS REV kick out so quietly and quickly it is amazing. And as soon as the problem is removed (including your old friend the run through switch) they kick right back in.
Jack C.
Tony,
It's 9:00 pm Saturday evening and I just finished installing completely your decoder and the DDC unit. Everything went together just fine. I had to re-bend the bottom portion of the front actuator rod. It took only one adjustment because it wasn't quite vertical. Also, it was nice to have the DDC driver board pre-wired. It saved time and possible wiring mistakes. Not all of us work every day with such small wire in close quarters.
The decoder runs real smooth and the couplers work flawlessly. This combination is a real winner. As with others, I'm waiting now for the next DDC unit to be released. Any word as to when and which loco? Keep up the great service and thanks for your effort in bringing useful and quality products to our select and specialized DCC train hobby.
Dennis S.
Ocean Springs, Mississippi

Just a BIG thank you on my switcher with the DDC couplers. It works as described and the workmanship looks great. "Isn't DCC great." Also received My GG-1 from BLI, runs great and sounds better.
THANKS again,
Roger O.

Hello Tony: I received the package yesterday. The Lenz Set 100 was very easy to set up and I was running in less than an hour. I had never used a DCC system before this one. I have a new Roco Diesel with a (ESU) Loksound2 decoder, that I have been waiting to hear. It really was great to hear it. It is also my 1st DCC equipped locomotive. Thanks again. Greg King from sunny San Diego.
Tony,
PS4 arrived, I hooked it up, and it's wonderful! I can't believe I waited this long. The hardest part was putting in rail gaps and electrically separating the sections of the railroad. Now my Mikado with Soundtraxx won't shut off every time I derail another engine in the yards (or anywhere else on the layout separated electrically). Great product.
Dan
Hi, Tony and greetings from Australia. I am happy to let you know that all recent orders have arrived safely here Down Under. Thank you for your really great service, advice and support - it is very
much appreciated.
Cheers for now,
Chris H. (Australia)
I just received a SW 900/1200 from Tony's Train Exchange (Father's Day Present) with the new DDC
uncouplers from the "DCC Deveplopment Group". Wow! Looks great (they use the KD 58's) and so far
works very well. Couple up and pull or push the train. At the spot you want to drop the car(s), hit F1 for front coupler or F2 for rear coupler, the coupler depresses and drops the cars. Really adds a
whole new dimension to operation and seems to work flawlessly thus far. Particularly good for yard operations.
Tony
My order arrived in good order and condition on Tuesday 1 July, here in Western Australia, which was only 5 days after being posted. Thanks for the great service, and I look forward to future dealings as my little Empire grows.
Cheers
Steve
Dear Tony's
I received the N-scale Life-Like 2-8-8-2 with the load-comp decoder you installed, a couple of weeks ago. Due to responsibilities around the house I just had a chance to run it yesterday. I just wanted to let you know that this engine runs beautifully. I had about 30 empty hoppers behind it and the slow speed was incredible.
I wanted you to know how great the engine was and to thank you.
I'll be ordering again real soon.
Thanks again
Wayne S.
Thanks. I really appreciate the quick response to my question about the pricing. This is what makes you a "great" business to deal with. I will be back shopping more with you in the future. Thanks again!
Hi Tony,
I downloaded your message about half an hour ago. I took the cover off the black box and sure enough the coupling between the two layers was disengaged. It appears to be quite a loose fit.
I put the two together and wired up the whole set-up. I got the required screen and tried my one and only decoded loco. It seemed to work. So keep your fingers crossed. More thorough testing tomorrow morning. It is now nearly eleven o'clock in the evening.
Honestly, I am well past the age when I used to drive my car on two wheels round corners. I promise you when I took the whole kit to my chum on Friday evening, I drove quite sedately in both directions.
Perhaps the parcel went through some air turbulence whilst in the post. Many years ago I was a pilot in the Royal Air Force, so I know what turbulence can be like.
Many thanks for your extremely prompt reply to my Mayday call. Another feather in your cap. Well done.
Tony,
The BLtd Hudson and Lenz system came ahead of schedule. Love 'em so far but need to learn more about CVs, that's for sure. Thanks for the great service. I'll be back!

Dear Sirs,
It may have been midnight, last night, for you but it was eight o'clock in the morning here in England when your letter and DCC Information dropped through my letterbox.
I call that Wonderful Service and I thank you for your extremely speedy reply to my request for help.
A big pat on the back to everyone at your end. Well done.

Tony, I received the order yesterday. Thanks very much for the great service and being very flexible with the order. Again, your customer service has excelled.
Regards, James K.

Dear Tony's,

I received my first order from you the other day. The reason it has taken me a few days to drop you a comment is that I've been having too much fun playing with the new stuff to stop and compose a note.

First, I want to thank Tony for taking the time to help me with my DCC system purchase decision. Tony was courteous, extremely knowledgeable, and mercifully patient. I had NCE Powerhouse Pro wireless in mind when I called. After determining my wants and system requirements with a few simple questions, we ended up staying with the NCE system. I was impressed at how Tony reinforced my decision without downplaying any of the other systems. In my opinion, the fact that Tony's handles ALL of the major systems is why I chose to call you in the first place.

I had a test loop ready to go in anxious anticipation of the UPS guy. Between the good written instructions from the manufacturers and from Tony's, I was hooked up and running on the loop in very short order (thanks, in no minor way to Tony not letting me neglect to order a transformer to use with my new DCC system). The Tony's XFR(8) is great, and I especially appreciate the circuit breaker protection. (By the way, is it ok to use the 2 amp breaker on the 120VAC side as a main system on/off switch?)

My main delight, though, was the sound decoder equipped diesel. This was my first time ever so much as seeing (I should say hearing, I suppose) HO scale diesel sound so I didn't much know what to expect. Talk about a pleasant surprise. What a wonderful experience, taking a brand new diesel custom sound equipped by Tony's out of the box, putting it on a test loop and hearing the sound. Nothing short of a knockout, and I am not easily impressed. The Soundtraxx system sounds better and does much more than I ever, ever expected it to.

As a side note, I was further impressed by the installation sheet by Tony's that even this novice DCC user had no trouble figuring out. I was pressing buttons, turning on bells, blasting horns, and flashing ditch lights faster than even I could imagine.

Lastly, I must mention the CMX Clean Machine which I had read about on your web site and ordered as well. I'll try to be brief here, but it's going to be difficult.

Keep in mind this test loop has been up little over a month and was built using brand new Atlas Code 83 flextrack. After playing with the new diesel for a day, it dawned on me to check the track cleanliness. My version of the white glove test is rubbing a piece of paper towel over the top of the rail. It was bad, very bad, and my theory is that I must have done an exceptionally poor job cleaning the flux from my rail joint solder job, and I suppose I spent a month spreading it around with an older locomotive I was playing with while perusing and researching DCC in general and Tony's site.

So, out came the new CMX Clean Machine. I spent a cup of coffee or two reading the information that came with it, and went to town. After a few passes around the test loop, I ran my finger (no paper towel) over the rail and it was a mess. Yikes, I thought, all this thing is doing is spreading gunk all over the place. Then I thought to check the pad, so close goes the drip valve, upside down goes the little tanker, and I could not believe the gunk that pad had picked up. It was a mess! So I replaced the pad and went around a few more times, the new, clean pad did its thing on this finish pass, and the track passed the real white glove test with flying colors.

This is one piece of equipment that works, and I thank you. Further, I own a precision machining job shop which manufactures small aircraft parts and surgically implanted hardware which, if I can say this without sounding somewhat less than humble, allows me to be a fair judge of machined things. This machine/car is extremely, and I mean extremely well designed, machined, and assembled. I wish I had thought of it, frankly.

I do have one minor complaint. The color and design of the corduroy fabric supplied for the cleaning pad is awful, no, simply horrid! (Pick up your jaw from your lap, I'm kidding ... just kidding)

Sorry for the long note, but I am elated at having found Tony's and really can't wait until my next order(s). Best of luck to you, and keep up the great work.

Tony: I would like to thank you for my winning the $5.00 certificate today, it's my 60th birthday today, so even though I've won once before it is sort of special this day. Thanks to your staff they are great to deal with, especially Heidi (sp) in the order department.

Hi Tony,
All arrived in the post this morning. Thanks for your prompt service, as you are a lot quicker than trying to obtain Lenz products locally. Regards, Phillip.
A BIG THANK YOU to you! I just signed for it moments ago. I'll definitely be putting you outlet at the top of my list for future train needs! Tim W.
Wow! We got the LifeLike 2-8-8-2 N&W 2011 with the Lenz LE0521W decoder installed on Friday April 25. My son and I put it on the rails and gave it a test run. This is so quiet and so smooth that it is unreal. The slow speed control is spectacular. I just wanted you to know how much we appreciate it -- and, to make it still better, his birthday was Saturday April 26 -- even the timing was right!
Tony/Ken - thx for the continued support. Your prices are very good and your help, like Ken provided on the phone the other day, will keep me coming back.
thanks, roger g.
Ken,
Just a brief note of appreciation for the time you took to explain my various concerns about DCC and sending me in the right direction. I feel very comfortable with the decision reached thanks to your guidance and expertise. I'll probably encounter a problem or two but know that a solution is just a phone call away!!
I don't know why it took me so long to call you. I've been reading as much as possible about this DCC novelty over the past few months and haven't been able to come up with "the one" for me. Thanks to you we narrowed it down in a matter of minutes.
You're an asset to the company!! Keep up the fine work!!
Regards,

Tony, Thank you for the advice on the sound problem I had with the soundtrax on a Stewart U25. The oval speaker did the trick, and the sound is now excellent.
Thank you,

Tony, Works Great on Both Loops!!! No Problem with the 2.5 amps. I Love it. I can't see why anyone would use anything else. Looking forward to doing more business with you. Thanks, Dave D.
Nice job on installing decoders and lights in my S-4s. Thanks. Barry Anderson
Tony,
Concerning the recent thread about your customer service on the Digitrax list, I for one have found transactions with your establishment nothing but Pleasant and Professional. I consider your WEB site one of the premier sites relating to DCC. Hang in there and keep up the good work!
Phil E. in South Carolina
Greetings,

I recently saw this posting on the Digitrax newsgroup, and would like to applaud you for your response. You are in business, and some of the complaints registered were totally unfounded. In my dealing with you, while I took exception to some of the questions asked (I am *very* protective of my local dealer - Hutch's Trains FYI who gives me excellent service) I also understand that you are in business. I find most of the complaints raised unfounded OR unreasonable. My single experince with you to-date was extremely good, and you will be considered as my primary source for things DCC that I do not get locally.

Not only were your responses to my questions helpful, but I also appreciate your interest in determining the aspects of the hobby I am modelling. Service was fast and friendly. As a bonus I find your web site, if nothing else, a check for pricing against which all others are gauged. Also, the links and information provided are invaluable. I for one am happy with your rebuttle and will seek opportunities to do business with you when they arise.

Keep up the good work, and PLEASE ignore the nonsense, but take what value you can from any criticism raised. I, for one, expect to deal with you again, long into the future!

Tony

Guess what, Tony. I received the package today so everything is really great here. Thanks a lot for your service. By the way, I bought my first Digitrax Chief system from you in 1997. You let me pay it in installments when funds were tight. I never forgot that. I buy my DCC stuff from you exclusively. Keep up the excellent service!
Thanks again,
Jason C.

Tony,

Many thanks for your speedy reply. Will wait for Digitrax response. Great web site, it deserves an award.

Hello ! I am contacting you to let you know how much I appreciate your company. I was in a panic when I noticed that the BIG EMPIRE II was not on your website. I had been saving for over a year to purchase this system as it comes with a DT400(Only throttle to have) and a deocder. I called and spoke with someone and he informed me of the differences between the new Empire and the Big Empire. Even though you no longer listed a price for the Big Empire II system you honored it for $284.00. I think its GREAT that you offer a DT400 throttle with the Empire system. It really saved me money. it was nice not to have a DT 300 and then have to purchase the DT 400 to get the throttle I wanted. Plus, I wanted a system that came with a decoder. Even before I purchased a DCC system you gave me speedy answers to my DCC questions. It is for this reason, the excellent support and sales staff, that I purchased the system from you. I recently finished installing my Digitrax system and I am extremelly happy! I would also like to note that the TONY'S decoder for the P2K GP 30 is a spectacular decoder! It's QUIET! My other decoders rattle the motor a little but this one is vantastic! The speed compensation it right on! It came with easy to understand literature and plugged right in. I'm saving again for more DCC products and you can be assured that I will be calling Tony's for the order. I have told several other model railroaders about my GREAT experience with your company. You guys ARE the BEST in DCC!

Happy Customer Mike X.

Tony,
I just wanted to take the time to thank you, your company and staff for the professionalism and products you deliver to us. I have dealt with Ken and Heidi and they have both been just great. Ken is a wealth of information. I purchased a Lenz Tower Cab, LW100 and I can tell you your company was the only one that had the product . Even Lenz said there were none left. Then I purchased a RRMeter. What a great product. I also purchased a CMX Track Cleaner. I purchased two different kinds of Aztec cleaners and sent them both back. The Aztec part was fine, the car was junk. Plastic wheels and at a cheap price of $125.00 each. I received your CMX and it is well made and a very operational product. This week I ordered a PS Reverse Power Shield w/Breaker, for a Roco Roundhouse application and I have no doubt it will be of the quality of your other products. Thanks again. I look forward to continued business with your company.

Greetings,
All has been received in good order. I am *MOST* please with the service and follow-up. I will happily do business with you again! Thanks again, and keep up the great work! Looks like I've found my supplier for those 'gotta have' items that my local buddy just ain't got!!

Hello, I live in the UK. I recently purchased a Ramp Meter from you. I could not quite understand how to connect it not being an electronics boffin. I have a Lenz 02 system. However, I called you earlier today and spoke to Ken, in two minutes he explained to me where I was going wrong ! (Cheap phone
call across the pond :>) ).
I am mailing you now to extend my gratitude to Ken, within minutes the Ramp Meter was/is working as it was meant to. It is a fantastic piece of equipment, in the last hour I have worked out which of my
locos run at their correct potential - it's BRILLIANT.
Please convey a BIG thank you to Ken, and obviously I am a very satisfied customer who will be back for more of your excellent service.
Friendliest regards,
Gwyn
Thanks for your quick response!! I sent the other one back and already received an LE0521W from your place!! Fast service and friendly people! Keep up the great work!!

Just a couple of words to acknowledge how highly I think of you folks.

Your Power Shield breakers I purchased this past summer are absolutely superior to anything on the market. The Power Shield Auto Reversers are also the best thing since DCC sound. All my reversing sections now have one.

I've been in model railroading for most of my 56 years and cleaning track has always been a pain in the @#$. My home layout has around 1100 ft of track and the older I get the more of a pain cleaning becomes. Last week I purchased one of your CMX clean machines, I've tried most of the others. No question about that product either. It really works very well! It really is a "tank like" well built product.

Now that I've vented, I better go tell some more of my cronies about you folks not to mention my customers.

Hi there,
Just a quick note to let you know the Mikado just arrived last Friday, and it works without a glitch. I'm really impressed with all your service. I hope to do business again with you. Once again a big thank you!

Tony and Friends,
I put my order in the mail Monday Night and Firday morning my Power Shields arrived. What great service (some credit should go to the U.S. Postal Service) but you had to have a great turn around for that to happen.
Thanks,
Keith P., Near Seattle WA
Dear Tony,
Thanks for coming up with your CMX Clean Machine. I bought one for my railroad and was extremely impressed. I then took my cleaner to our club layout here in Fairbanks Alaska, (Tanana Valley Railroad), and bingo our dirty track problem was solved. We tried several other brands with limited success. They are good for maintenance but they don't CLEAN. Your Car is a great product. Thanks
Morgan R.
Tony,
Thanks for the great product that has saved time and has reduced the risk of decoder damage. The RRampMeter has greatly helped in the selection of the proper "sized" (current rating) decoders for my O scale locomotives. It has also aided in tracking down locomotive electrical problems before the conversion to DCC. Well worth the price.
Regards,
Fred O.
Hi Tony,
Have just finished installing my RRampmeter. Most impressed. "It's a cracker my son!!" Working like a trooper. Many thanks. Lawrence W.
Roger - I've gotten my RRampMeter and I'm really impressed. I added the 9v battery option to monitor and observe 0-12v in DC mode while testing and breaking in my locos before adding decoders. The amp draw is clear and precise. Moving from DC to DCC allows clear indications of operating conditions. The precision in DCC mode is very helpful and I've found the meter to be very robust and reliable. I'd recommend getting the version 1, adding the version 3 parts, making up a mounting, and wiring in via some control switches for various combinations of components (e.g., whole system, various boosters, DC test loop, etc.).

Hi Tony,
Received goods, thank you very much! Your fairness and generousity will not go un-noticed. I will recommend "TTE" to all my friends in the hobby.
Regards, Steve B.
Hello Ken and Tony,

About three weeks ago I called and talked to Ken about a track and wheel problem I was having on our D & EM RR. This is a large layout (5 rooms). For about a year, different engines were picking up something off the railS and on their wheels. Even when the wheels were cleaned it would take only 30 minutes for them to pick up "stuff" and cause poor locomotive performance. I have been a model railroader for over 40 years and could not solve this problem. The track was cleaned many times using all of the popular cleaning methods. The wheels were cleaned on locomotives and cars (no plastic wheels) again using all of the popular methods. But the problem did not go away. I even changed some of the engines wheels, thinking new wheels would solve the problem, no such luck. I did know that much of the track had been in place for over 20 years and included a 18 foot tunnel that was hard to clean and there was something on the rail I was not getting off that was causing this problem.

We are going to tear down and rebuild the largest room to eliminate a long "duckunder" so operators can follow trains during an operation session. Being 100% DCC with sound I needed to solved the "dirty wheel and track problem" before rebuilding. I had received information about the CMX "Clean Machine" from you in the mail when buying a sound decoder. I also had read the review in Model Railroader. So, I gave Ken a call. He spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to help solve the problem which was very helpful. Then he explained the purpose of the CMX car. Since nothing else had worked I ordered the car.I used the CMX , followed the directions and it only took three times around the layout for all of the problems to be gone. I ran the engines that had been picking up the dirt; they ran for hours with great performance. Even engines that had not been a problem ran better. Now that the problem is solved my wife and I are ready to start rebuilding that room and have some fun instead of having the "dirt problem".

Thanks, the CMX has been a "problem solver" for the D & EM RR.

Tony and Ken-Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how happy I am with your products and service. You have installed soundtraxx units and lights in eight brass steamers for me and they are awesome. They came back in good shape, all run great and sound even better. The turnaround time has been amazing. Any questions have been dealt with quickly and pleasantly. BTW, I couldn't believe how easy it was to install the autoreverser for my return loop and how well it works.
Thanks again. Gary R.
I had my first operating session this past Saturday and thought you might want to know that your PowerShields worked perfectly. Also the PowerHouse PRO I purchased from you work perfectly. Thanks for you service etc...

Just returned from a trip and found the BL2 waiting for me. It sounds great, runs great and I'm now in the process of configuring the acceleration and deceleration CV's. Thanks very much for the good product and the fast service.

Hello, Tony and greetings from Australia. Very happy to let you know that the other 7 NCE block detectors and the Lenz accessory decoder arrived yesterday. Thank you very much for your great service and support - I really appreciate it! Chris H. (Australia)
I ordered some NCE decoders from you guys late on Sunday 5th May online. Imagine my delight as I was sat outside the house on a bright sunny Saturday morning (11th May) working on a loco with my 7 year old son seeing the postman approaching with an airmail package! Yes! it was the decoders, but a lot earlier than I had expected.

This is the first time I have ever bought anything direct from the US and the first time I have dealt with Tony's Train Exchange, I can only say that the responses I had, have been helpful, concise, curtious and timely. In addition, to process my order and ship it over 3,000 miles across international borders in just 5 days is P.D.Q.!

Now thats what I call SERVICE!! - I will definitely be coming back to Tony's.

Yours sincerely
Mr. Neil A.

Hi Folks at Tony's, (I received the Cleaning Car. It works GREAT).
David G Mitchell
Dear Tony, Just thought I would drop you a line to say that the decoders arrived today (26th April) all in good order. So many thanks for such efficient service and speedy delivery. Many thanks and best wishes, Dave W.

Hi Tony, Received OK. Thanks very, very much. Its good to have such excellent service, especially to us 'down under' boys. It seems that more and more of us modellers are emailing direct to the States for items. The service here, especially in my area is pathetic. Keep up the good work mate. Regards, Ray

After 7 months of hard work John Elwood and I finally get all the track connected and wired. It's time to clean the track and run some trains. Got out the brightboy and a rag with lacquer thinner and started to work. After many frustrating days of trains stopping and starting, lights blinking, sound decoders doing strange things, John suggested we borrow a CMX from his operating buddies. What a difference! One evening of running a steam doubleheader pushing the CMX around, guess what... no more flickering lights, no more stopping, just smooth running. That track cleaning car does everything you guys says it does, and with no pain. Needless to say mine is on its way. It's nice to see a product operate as advertised and designed. Good job guys!

Tony,

Just wanted you to know how pleased I am with the wireless upgrade to my NCE system. My railroad room is 16'x40' with a peninsula running down the center and aisles on each side. I have perfect control, as I walk around with the train, at all times. I thought the installation instructions were well done and easy to follow. It seems like the throttles were designed years ago with the intention of someday being able to accept a future wireless system --- smart thinking !! Hats off to all you folks at TTE and NCE for making this hobby so exciting.

Sincerely, Terry K.

I took your advice and installed two speakers in first car after locomotive, ran mu around loco coupler and the sound is unbelievable!!!!!

Troy, Ohio

Early last month I had purchased a Trix HO Big Boy and wanted to put sound in it. After some consultation with my fellow ESMRE (Edmonton Society of Model Railroad Engineers) members, who are DCC equipped, I chose your store because of the glowing opinions held by my peers. I phoned, was quickly taken care of, and purchased a Soundtraxx decoder, plus a wiring harness and speaker. These shipped to me in two weeks; 3 days to get to Canada, 8 for customs to get thier act together then 2 more days to get to me.

The important thing is that you folks had actually done an installation on this new and expensive loco and included the very straight-forward instructions for installation. The installation was by the numbers and made what would have been an impossible task for me who is new to DCC, a do-able feat, with help from an experienced club member. Thank you so much those instuctions really impressed me.

I'm such a happy customer I have just ordered a Riv Allegheny from you, sound for it will wait for another day however.

Thanks once again you folks really know your stuff and I will be another customer who you will be getting more referrals from and business.

Sincerely

Adam G.

Tony,

I just installed a 3/4" speaker in one of you SpeakerEZ enclosures. I wanted you to know how pleased I am with both ease of assembly and quality of sound.

No more messing around with pill bottles. Thanks for a great product,

Bob
Tony, Ken - Just a short note to let you know the Soundtrax decoder I just purchased installed without a hitch into my Lifelike P2K E8/9 locomotive. Sounds great! Thanks for your help in selecting the right decoder for the job!

My son and I have been very pleased with the work you have done in installing decoders into our DC engines. We are considering having several more done.

BTW, you suggested putting the Lenz 010XF decoders into the last batch, and we really like them.

Lee

I recently installed a Soundtraxx unit in a super-detailed Athearn AC4400 complete with ditch lights. I found the key was using one of the see-through grill kits for the radiators as supplied by Detail Associates. The oval speaker fit in opening and the speaker sound is perfect; add to that the alternating ditch lights and its a real show-stopper. Thanks to Ken and Tony for helping to program ditch lights.

Tony

This is just a short note to thank you and your folks for the service I have received. A few weeks ago I ordered 2 CNR ST40-2s. Just to be different I asked if the #s could be changed. The chap I was dealing with was both patient and knowledgeable--I called back twice and he was still patient and answered my questions. The engines arrived tonight and they look great. The #s look like they were painted on by the factory. thanks again

John S.

Hi Ken & Tony. I just recently purchased one of your HO scale track cleaning cars. It was used on the San Leandro Historical Railway Society's display. The other members were estatic about the performance of the cleaning car! Everyone is pleased that we've found a car that works!

Barry C.

Just got back home from Fla. from Thanksgiving holiday and what do I find in my mail but a great set of american flags. Great job. Thanks much.

Best wishes,
Dave W.

I just wanted to thank Ken for his excellent support he provided the other day. Commuting from DC to Ohio over 2 year period, I helped my father (who is over 80 years old) build a fairly good sized layout (600 ft track, 40 ft. x 15 ft), I had planned to buy the MRC Prodigy, but when Ken explained the limitations and recommended other systems, I agreedthat was the best path for future use and upgrade as well.

With Ken's help, I also purchased 3 new loco's with SoundTraxx decoders (F1 A/B powered, EMD 70/75, and Stewart Baldwin S1000 switcher) to get him started, and a Soundtraxx for the Heritage steam. I have had a difficult time finding someone knowledgeable that could discuss and provide recommendations regarding these issues, and greatly appreciate Ken's help and expertise, and suspect over the next few years to be doing more business with your shop.

Sincerely,

Eugene C.

"I just purchased a CMX Clean Machine (N scale). What a great product, it stays on the track, does a fantastic job especially when you have tunnels or covered passages.

One of the better investments that I have made on my layout, very impressed with its performance."

Peter H.

"Dear Tony,

I would like to say thank you for your excellent service. I get bits from you quicker then I do when I order from shops in this country.
All the best from Nobby Clarke in the UK.
Ps: The flags are great!, I will be placing several on my pike."

Tony,

Just thought I would let you know. Ran the clean machine round the layout on Sunday using Isopropyl Alcohol and it worked brilliantly. One run round on the main runnning track was sufficient and even on the particularly filthy sidings, just a couple of rubs up and down were sufficient to clean the rails. Much quicker, easier and less intrusive to the layout than a track rubber ( I think they are called bright boys in the US). There is nothing worse than using your hand with one of those things up and down the rails to damage lineside items. With the clean machine even when running it up and down the track by hand you are far enough away from any lineside structures that you cannot damage them, it doesn't overhang the rails like a track rubber. The only care you have to take is around signals, but on the main line I stick it behind a powerful loco and send it around just once or twice and that's enough. Anyway, it was worth the wait thank you.

Regards
Adrian H.

Tony,

First of all I recently received and installed one of your new Auto Reverse Modules...and it works great! Thanks for another great DCC product. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Brooks S.

Hi Tony:

Tried my TTE cleaner and it works better than anything I've tried in the past on my more than 2,000 feet of track.

Rick T.

Tony and Staff,

First off, let me thank you for providing the service and support that you do. There are several hobby/train stores in my area that offer competitive pricing but as far as getting a problem resolved, my first course of action is to check www.tonystrains.com. Your Message Board, Product News/Tech Bulletin and Tony's tips have compressed the time it took me to go from complete "newbie" to having a decent model railroad with very good operating potential down to a couple of years. Your phone support and follow-up has also been commendable. it has been a pleasure doing business with you.

Christian O.

Your special decoder works great in my Kato RS-2. I am looking forward to the decoder for the Proto 2K SW9/12 ( I have already ordered).

Cal V.

Fred,

May I recommend Tony's Train Exchange as a possible place to buy. I am into G scale, and have purchased from Tony's with very good results. Hope this helps,

Jim F.
Grafton, Ohio

I bought a Clean Machine from you at the NMRA 2000 show last month. It works great! I had been spending a lot of time cleaning track with a roller-tyoe car, and also cleaninf loco wheels, electrical contacts , etc. To try to get reliable operations where low-speed locos wouldn't stall out. After running the Clean Machine around the layout wth acetone aboard, everything now runs perfectly -- no stalls, no surging, just smooth operation. Forget the white-glove test - the trains run, that's what counts.

Feel free to use this as a recommendation.

Jack H.

I purchased a clean machine from you and there is nothing, I mean nothing like it on the market. My track has never been in better shape. This is something you already know but add my name to the list you have of satisfied customers.

Larry G.

Tony, Ken, and the Gang,

I recently ordered the new Proto 2K 0-8-0 HO steamer with Nickle Plate lettering. I also asked you guys to install a Soundtraxx system in the unit prior to shipping it.

The locomotive arrived about a week ago, and due to work conflicts ( my priorities are out of whack), I was not able to test, run, and program it until early this morning. In short, it is fantastic. It runs as smooth as silk, looks great , and all of the sound functions are outstanding!!!! To all of you, MANY, MANY THANKS and MILLE GRAZIE too. You guys got it ot me quickly, and did your usual great job, and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate your service, as my total billings to TTE can attest. My next step with this unit is to repaint the tender with Taconic & Mohawk RR markings.

Tory M.

Tony,

I just received your letter today. Glad you enjoyed the article in RMC. That article was written before I bought the CMX. It works great. A couple of passes around the layout is all it takes. Sometimes, when I'm scenicking, I will go for some time without running trains. Then, the track is dirty and I have to clean it all before anything will run. Your cleaner is the best I've seen so far.

Thanks,
Fred L.

Hi Tony,

Just a note to let you know how satisfied I am with everything you've sold me. The Bachmann Shay runs beautifully and sounds great, a gem at an amazing price. Will be needing more stuff soon, love the auto-reverse, have 2 Ys that have been a problem remembering the direction. Beautiful solution you offer. Have a great day!
