Loco only refers to the price of loco as is, without decoder installed; 128SS Dec = includes 128 Speed Step Decoder; LC Dec = includes Load Compensated or BEMF Decoder. See our Loco Reservation Policies.

RTR decoder and sound installation prices are tentative until listing is moved to the released section. This is due to the fact that the "plug'n'play" design has not yet been implemented on all RTR models.

Due to a design change by Athearn, what used to be a simple plug and play instalation using a Digitrax DN163K1B now entails disassembling the entire locomotive to add tabs to the motor to complete the installation. Thus, the increase in the "w/LC decoder" price.
